At-Home Haircuts in Coquitlam: How It Works and What It Costs
I'm Ali, the barber and owner at Alibaba Fade&Trends Co. My shop is at #101 – 2986 Burlington Dr in Coquitlam, and I've been cutting hair since 2017. For years, clients have asked me the same thing: "Can you just come to me?" Now I can. Here's exactly how at-home cuts work, what they cost and how to book one.
The idea: the chair comes to you
Some weeks, getting to a barbershop is one more thing on a long list. You might be juggling kids, working from home, recovering from something, or you'd just rather relax in your own space. With an at-home cut, you get a full, unhurried appointment with the same care you'd get in my chair at the shop. I bring everything, and I leave your place as clean as I found it.
What it costs
Pricing is simple, and travel is always included:
- Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam and Port Moody: $80 (launch price, regular $120)
- Burnaby, New Westminster, Pitt Meadows and west Maple Ridge: $100 (launch price, regular $120)
The price covers the cut, travel, setup, cleanup and a styling finish, plus tax. If you want your beard done too, a beard trim is +$27. Launch pricing is for my first at-home clients, and it won't last forever.
In Coquitlam, that includes neighbourhoods like Burke Mountain, Westwood Plateau, Maillardville, Austin Heights, Ranch Park and Eagle Ridge. In Port Coquitlam, it's Citadel, Mary Hill, Oxford Heights and Riverwood. In Port Moody, it's Heritage Mountain, Ioco, College Park and Moody Centre. I cover Burnaby, New Westminster and Pitt Meadows city-wide.
How it works, in five steps
- Book on Booksy. Pick the at-home service for your area and a time at least 48 hours ahead.
- I confirm. I'll check your address, parking and arrival time with you.
- I set up. I bring the cape, mat, clippers, tools and a cleanup kit.
- You relax. It's a full appointment, up to 90 minutes including setup and cleanup. The cut itself takes about as long as it would in the shop.
- I clean up. I sweep up and leave your space clean.
Booking notice and cancellations
At-home visits take up a big part of my day, because I plan travel and setup around each one. That's why I ask for at least 48 hours' notice to book and 48 hours' notice to cancel. Late cancellations and no-shows may be charged. A small deposit to hold at-home bookings is coming soon. For now, there's nothing to pay up front.
Paying and parking
You can pay by card through Booksy, or by tap or cash on the day. In your booking notes, please add free or visitor parking details and any buzzer or access instructions, so I can arrive on time. Condos are no problem at all.
Cleanliness and safety
My tools are cleaned and disinfected between every client, the same as in the shop. If there are pets in the home or anyone who's sick, just let me know ahead of time. For clients under 19, an adult (19+) needs to be home.
Ready to book?
You'll find all the details on my At-Home page. When you're ready, book your at-home cut on Booksy and pick the service for your area. I look forward to meeting you at your door.
