Haircuts at Home for Seniors and Busy Families in the Tri-Cities
I'm Ali, the barber at Alibaba Fade&Trends Co. on Burlington Drive in Coquitlam. When I started offering at-home cuts, I was thinking about two kinds of clients most of all: seniors who find it hard to get to a shop, and families who barely have a free hour. If that sounds like you, or like someone you love, this post is for you.
Haircuts for seniors, without the trip
Getting to a barbershop can be a real effort, whether because of mobility, driving or just energy on a given day. So I bring the chair to you. I visit seniors and people with limited mobility at home, and also in care residences where the residence rules allow it.
When you book, let me know about any needs: a chair that's easier to sit in, more time to settle in, a hearing aid, or anything else. I'll work around it. Nobody is rushed. The appointment runs up to 90 minutes, including setup and cleanup, so there's room to take it easy.
Families often book a cut for a parent or grandparent. That works perfectly. Just add the details in the booking notes, along with parking and buzzer information, and I'll confirm everything before the day.
Busy families: everyone, one visit
Getting several kids into a barbershop on a Saturday is a lot. At home, it's simpler. Kids are often more comfortable in their own space, with no waiting room and no strangers around.
More than one person can get a cut on the same visit, and honestly, it's the best way to use one. Add a note with how many people when you book. Extra people on the same visit get a discounted rate, so ask when you book. For clients under 19, an adult (19+) needs to be home.
What it costs
Travel is always included:
- Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam and Port Moody: $80 (launch price, regular $120)
- Burnaby, New Westminster, Pitt Meadows and west Maple Ridge: $100 (launch price, regular $120)
The price includes the cut, travel, setup, cleanup and a styling finish, plus tax. A beard trim can be added for +$27.
Where I go
In the Tri-Cities, I cover Coquitlam (including Burke Mountain, Westwood Plateau, Maillardville, Austin Heights, Ranch Park and Eagle Ridge), Port Coquitlam (Citadel, Mary Hill, Oxford Heights, Riverwood) and Port Moody (Heritage Mountain, Ioco, College Park, Moody Centre). Outside the Tri-Cities, I cover Burnaby, New Westminster, Pitt Meadows and west Maple Ridge.
Clean, careful and on time
My tools are cleaned and disinfected between every client, exactly like in the shop. I bring a mat and a cleanup kit, and I leave your home as clean as I found it. If someone in the home is sick, or if there are pets, please let me know ahead of time.
How to book
Booking is on Booksy. Pick the at-home service for your area and a time at least 48 hours ahead. If plans change, please give 48 hours' notice to cancel. You can pay by card through Booksy, or by tap or cash on the day.
See everything on my At-Home page, or book on Booksy. Whether it's Grandpa's monthly trim or the whole family before a photo day, I'd be glad to come by.
