How Often Should You Get a Haircut to Keep Your Fade Sharp?
Hair grows about a centimetre a month. On a skin fade, that's enough to blur the blend in a couple of weeks. On a longer cut you've got more time. Here's a simple guide.
| Style | Book again in |
|---|---|
| Skin fade | 1 to 2 weeks |
| Low or mid fade | 2 to 3 weeks |
| Taper | 3 to 4 weeks |
| Longer scissor cut | 4 to 6 weeks |
| Beard line-up | 1 to 2 weeks |
Signs you're due
- The fade line has gone soft and you can't see the blend any more.
- Hair is starting to sit over your ears or collar.
- Your neckline looks fuzzy in photos.
- Your usual product isn't holding the shape.
Make it easy on yourself
Book your next cut before you leave the chair, so you get the time you want. If you're in every week or two, keep an eye out, because memberships are coming soon.
